Machzikei Hadas is a Modern Orthodox shul with a warm atmosphere and diverse membership welcoming all levels of observance. Among the 400 families making up our congregation are many young couples, young families, singles and grandparents. Our many attributes include a talented chazan leading services, and a Baal Keri'ah (Torah reader) skillfully reading the Torah. Our rabbi, Rabbi Reuven Bulka, is a world famous speaker and writer. He is a Ph.D. in psychology, specializing in Viktor Frankl's logotherapy, as well as an honourary doctor of laws from Carleton University. Rabbi Bulka has written over 35 books on Jewish topics, hosts a local radio program and writes a regular column in the Ottawa Citizen. His inspiring sermons, delivered powerfully each week, generate animated discussions over our friendly kiddushim. Come join us for a Shabbat. We would love to meet you!
