Hospital Visitation

Obviously, we wish good health for all, and prefer that hospital stays be for childbirth only. Alas, the way of the world is that illness sometimes forces people to hospitals, with the hope that this will lead to full recovery.

Privacy laws now forbid us from telling anyone about who is in the hospital without first getting permission to share that information.

So, if for whatever reason you are in hospital and would like a clergy visit, please call the shul office (613-521-9700), or have a family member do so.

The Rabbi makes regular visits, but with hospital stays being kept as brief as possible, some people are missed. We would like to prevent that from happening as much as possible.

Also, if you want to waive the privacy concern so that others may know and visit or call, again please call the shul office (613-521-9700).

We did not make this law, but we are obliged to comply with it and respect patient wishes.
